This was the second shoot I did for CROW, and when Shaila approached me to shoot her new collection I already knew it would be super fun :)
When I looked at the outfits and the making which has gone in each piece, I was completely in awe, the outfits are made from 'Jamadani' fabric made by artisans of Bengal and hence the collection is know as "Threads Of Bengal".
The garments are versatile, and can be worn formally as well as casually, but the thing i liked the most was that they had the right amount of crispness and yet were flowy. All the time throughout the shoot i had this nagging "I-need-one-of-these" feeling :P
The motifs are beautiful, the designs are amazing, the garments are perfectly tailored and the main task of portraying all of these is on the shoulders of the photographer (Le ME!) so I buckled up! We shot at Suvali beach early in the morning. As the colours were more on the pallid side, I used bright props such as the chrome suitcase and vintage telephones to add in the oomph factor, I am a visual thinker and i think the photographs did come out alright :P
Have a look!
The highlight of the shoot was getting featured in the "Femina" with a wide six page spread! #HappyME
