The Seewans success story started on 29th Nov 1976, when three brothers rented a small 50 sq feet of space and with a single oven started what later came to be know as Amul Bakery. Over the years they specialized in understanding the needs of the community and offered good quality at a reasonable price making the brand immensely popular in its own niche.
Today, with three big retail outlets in Adajan (Surat) and a manufacturing facility with 8 huge ovens, Seewans manufactures more than 150 different baked products daily and is a trusted brand known for it's quality, variety and taste.
Amar, the second generation entrepreneur from the same group has been a very close friend to me over the years and has been a serious photo enthusiast who has always been encouraging and supportive. I remember the days when he (ever smiling and helpful) used to lend me his camera/lenses for my shoots. I don't think i can ever repay him in kind for all that he has done for me. So when he asked me to do this shoot for him i wanted to do it the best i could. The challenge was to mix my modern style of shooting food with the rustic feel that i thought would go best with this project. Here i ought to thank Pankti who did a fab job with the food styling, and it shows clearly in the resulting images. Few final images from the shoot below -
Just love shooting food :)
PS - The new Seewans Logo has been designed by my good friends at Roar Studios.
