What is candid wedding photography?

Somewhere in early 2000's Photo-Journalists jumped into the weddings bandwagon... This brought fresh and new voices and visions and gave rise to 'Candid Wedding Photographers' who took freedom to pursue a wedding the way they wanted to. Creative Candid Wedding Photographers started applying documentary style of photography to Weddings and the wedding stories which came out were just breathtaking! This is what we do :)

What Services do you provide?

We at Puja Kedia Collective have been extremely fortunate with our clients, in the sense we have ended up being friends with almost all of them... And as a friend its not just photography we get called/consulted for... you can call us for anything and everything! (We have helped clients choose their wedding dress over Skype :P / We get consulted before fixing the wedding planner/venue... / in the past have suggested Make-Up artists and even Mehndi-Wallas !!! and We love doing that)

However following are the things we can professionally help you with - Pre-Wedding Portrait Sessions, Save-The-Date Videos, Wedding/Engagement Documentation, Wedding Films & Wedding Albums.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE? DO YOU TRAVEL?

I am based out of Surat (Gujarat). And I love to travel. In fact wedding assignments frequently take me all around our beautiful country. We at Puja Kedia Collective have documented weddings in Surat, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, Ludhiana, Baroda, Mahabalipuram & Rajkot :)

WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS? HOW EARLY DO WE NEED TO BOOK?

Reach me via mail/call/contact form on my website; I will send across my inquiry form, please fill the same to the best of your knowledge. I will then respond by email or phone. If possible, I would like to meet you both in person so you can get to know your future photographer and can ask me everything you need. After I fully understand your requirements I would send across my wedding photography package. Once you’ve decided to choose me as your photographer, I will send a contract for you to sign and return with a deposit. After that, you can check “find a photographer” off your wedding to-do list :)

If you have decided on a Wedding Photographer it is advised to book him/her as early as possible so that your dates are blocked and travel arrangements are also made in time. Usually, i get booked 4 to 6 months in advance.

How many images will we get? will we receive raw, unedited files?

You need not worry about this at all. We document the complete event and cover all the important aspects of the same. I give out all the good high-resolution JPEGs, post processed with a lot of care. Usually, the number of images range 60 to 90 images per hour.

I DO NOT give RAWs. All the images you receive from me will be post processed.

WILL YOU BE SHOOTING OUR WEDDING? DO YOU EDIT ALL YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS?

Yes. You are hiring me to shoot the wedding, not another photographer working under my name. At times, I may get my assistant and team on the shoot and even when I do, I personally do the post – processing on all the images.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Please get in touch with me for this. I need to know the detailed timeline and scope of documentation for me to give you a personalized package for your event.

Can some of our photos be delivered in both black and white and colour?

Yes! I give you images both in color and black & white :)

Do you provide Printed Albums?

YES! :) I have made it a point to compulsorily give my clients a Wedding Day Storybook included with my wedding package as i believe it is something which they will cherish and have for generations to come and it adds a lot of value.

Do you have a team? Do you do Videos?

Yes Again! I have a team of very talented photographers & cinematographers. I can help you with the video documentation of your wedding too. Let me know if you would want me to take care of that too and it will be done :)
